I believe that beauty is something that resides in the great movement of time and the movement of the world. I carefully examine and extract the itinerary of people’s lives, the weather and the regularity of shapes and variables in order to express their innate beauties.

These drawings depict the sun visiting the five cities—Tokyo, Sydney, Vienna, Mexico City and Honolulu—on the summer solstice, winter solstice, autumnal equinox and spring equinox at local times. The grids in these drawings were inspired by the calendar and train schedules. –MK
